The University of Exeter and The Met Office are strategic partnersWorking with the Met Office
Information for University staff
There are currently 3 main areas of research which form the focus of activity between the University of Exeter and the Met Office:
- Mathematical and statistical modelling for weather and climate
- Climate, weather and human health
- Earth system science
To help foster further collaborations between the University and the Met Office we have set up a Research Advisory Panel (co-chaired by Prof David Stephenson from the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, and Dr Nigel Wood from the Met Office). The aim of this panel is to facilitate and oversee all research related collaboration between the Met Office and the University, and to support and initiate new research collaborations where appropriate.
If you would like to discuss any potential new collaborations/ideas for working with the Met Office, or would like advice on any of the above please contact in the first instance:
Dawn Scott – RKT Manager (d.m.scott@exeter.ac.uk, 01392 725474) or;
Dan Bloomfield – Joint University / MO RKT Manager (d.bloomfield@exeter.ac.uk, 01392 726205) for any health related work.
