Research studies

We are currently running three research studies for which we are seeking interested volunteers. Follow the links below to find out more about each of these studies, how to take part and who to contact:

  • Caffeine, Activity and Mood in Bipolar Disorder Research Study – Recruiting nationally
This study is completed via phone, post and email so you are not required to travel. It is conducted via a phone interview and lifestyle monitoring.

  • Behavioural Activation for Bipolar Depression – Recruiting in Devon, excluding Plymouth
This is running as a small scale research study within the AccEPT Clinic at the University of Exeter, and involves attending individual therapy sessions of Behavioural Activation for bipolar depression. To take part you must be aged 18 or over.

  • Imagery Based Emotion Regulation for Bipolar Disorder – Recruiting in Devon, excluding Plymouth, and in Berkshire and Oxfordshire
We are looking to recruit individuals with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, who might be interested in receiving psychological therapy. Imagery Based Emotion Regulation or IBER is a form of talking therapy.
