We currently consist of 6 groups covering a wide and exciting range of unaccompanied music!

  • Hoi Rhapsodoi: SATB group with 11 members singing a huge mix of secular and sacred music from The Beatles to Britten.
  • Madrigals: SATB group specialising in singing Madrigals - Elizabethan songs about sex and death, ranging from the lusty to the beautiful.
  • Semi-Toned: The 'all-man' close harmony groups singing a mix of modern and classic songs from The Beach Boys to Billy Joel. Recently, Semi-Toned picked up awards for "Outstanding Arrangement" and "Outstanding Vocal Percussion" at the Bristol regional round of the Voice Festival UK 2012.
  • The Sweet Nothings: An all girl contemporary group singing a great range of pop and jazz.
  • Take Note (unauditioned): A group for everyone and anyone who wants to have a bit of fun singing everything from Let it Be to Lean on Me.
  • Illuminations: focusing mainly on musicals and opera, this is the society’s newest auditioned group.
