Exeter University Concert Band (EUCB)

Exeter University Concert Band (EUCB)

We are a large non-auditioned band packed full of wind, brass and percussion instruments of all shapes and sizes! It's open to anyone, of any ability or standard, and is a fantastic way of keeping up your instrument while you're away at Uni.

EUCB rehearse every Thursday night in the new music building, Kay House (Duryard) from 6 - 8 pm, and work on a vast range of music from film soundtracks, to jazz, to classical, to West End scores (and the occasional Christmas carol). There is a EUCB tour each year during the Easter break, past destinations have included Malta, Barcelona, Edinburgh, and the Isle of Wight. This year we took almost 40 people to Santander, Spain.

We also play our current repertoire in a concert each term, both inside and outside ofExeter. We hold regular socials and pride ourselves on being welcoming and friendly!

Anyone is able to join, and there is even the opportunity to try your hand at conducting the band too, in our student conductor auditions. Concert Band is a large ensemble of a very high standard, and we always love seeing new musical faces!
