Travel disruption advice for staff and students

Travel to and from the UK has been disrupted by the volcanic ash cloud, affecting both staff and students of the University.

Advice is available for staff and postgraduate students who are travelling on University business and for students who may have their assessments affected by the travel disruption.

Advice for staff and postgraduate students

Staff and postgraduate students of the University who travel overseas on University business are eligible to apply for insurance cover under the University’s travel policy. If your trip is covered in this way, but you are experiencing problems due to the volcanic ash cloud and its effects on flights, you should read our staff travel disruption advice page.
