Charities set to benefit from Engagement Survey donations

Our Employee Engagement Survey opens on 5 November, and once again the University will be donating £1 to charity for each completed survey.  We’ll be supporting local hospices, foodbanks and Cancer Research.

We hope to beat the impressive £3,300 raised in the last Employee Engagement Survey in 2016. 594 votes were cast by colleagues to whittle a longlist down to these worthwhile charities.  When we complete our Engagement Survey we can then choose where the donation goes, rather like putting a token in a box in a supermarket.

The Employee Engagement Survey happens every two years, and is open from 5 November 2018. The survey is completely confidential – you will not be asked to enter your name at any point. It can be completed using a mobile or tablet as well as a PC.

Jacqui Marshall, Deputy Registrar & Director of People Services and Global Partnerships says: “The Employee Engagement Survey is the best way to record your experience as an employee of the University, and what you say will be heard and acted upon. To continue to ensure the views of everyone are represented in the actions that will follow, we would like to encourage as many colleagues as possible to complete a copy of the survey this year. 73% of colleagues had their say in the 2016 survey and we raised more than £3,300 for charity – if we get a similar response rate this year we’ll raise even more for these deserving causes.”
