SEE Talks: Why is London so dominant in the UK?

with Evan Davis, Economist, Journalist and Presenter for the BBC

A student-led initiative, the Series for Economic Exploration Talks provides an intellectually challenging series of debates with leaders in industry. All alumni are invited to take part in this interdisciplinary discussion of economic events and opinions.

Event details

Run by a small team of students from a wide variety of disciplines the SEE Talks aim to bring a new experience to the University of Exeter. Bringing cross disciplinary discussion to the field of economics, these talks introduce a series of speakers who will interlink many disciplines studied here at University, and apply them to current events.

There are three key aims for this series:

  • To increase cross disciplinary student involvement with economics and the related topical events
  • To be intellectually stimulating, yet accessible to all students from across the university
  • To bring new topical discussion, from industry experts, to the University on a regular basis.

The series is funded by the University of Exeter Annual Fund, and is supported by the Business School, Students as Change Agents, the Career Zone and the Student's Guild.

This event is free to attend, and all are welcome - from any discipline or degree level. No previous knowledge is assumed for any of these topics. The talk is expected to finish at 7.30pm and will be followed by a trip to the RAM with the speaker.
