EUC Holiday: The delights of the Amalfi Coast and Classical Italy

Guests will be staying at the impressive 4* Grand Hotel Hermitage located close to Sorrento with a splendid view across the bay of Naples. We will stay for 7 nights on a half board basis at the hotel and facilities include a restaurant, a bar and an outdoor swimming pool. All rooms are ensuite with TV and telephone.

The holiday will give us the opportunity to visit the beautiful Amalfi Coast, Ravello and perhaps some new venues such as Herculaneum, Oplontis & Villa Poppea which were destroyed or damaged by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The programme also includes a tour of Naples and of Pompeii there is interest. We have included 2 days of leisure time for you to relax at the hotel or perhaps visit a trattoria after taking the shuttle bus into Sorrento. The cost of the holiday is £899pp, plus a £149 single supplement; you will need travel insurance which Tailored Travel can supply if required. The EUC is a friendly club for alumni, graduates and retired staff of Exeter University and their families. As well as those who have studied or worked on the Streatham Campus, this also includes St Luke’s and the Tremough Campus, the former Camborne School of Mines, the Medical School and the (pre 1955) University College of the South West of England.
