Global Conversation: Healthcare in Hong Kong

This is the first and launch event of the University of Exeter’s first ever Global Conversation, a programme of lectures taking place around the globe, hosted by some of Exeter's pioneering academics. The purpose of the Global Conversation is to showcase some of Exeter's exciting developments in world-leading research which is relevant to both a local and international audience.

The talk will explore the theme of “Transforming Mental Healthcare Services in Hong Kong”. In a fascinating presentation from two world-leading academics, Professor Eugene Mullan and Professor Ed Watkinslearn how through “The CEDAR Programme”, Exeter’s partnership with CUHK is helping to transform mental healthcare services in Hong Kong. The CEDAR (Clinical education and training research) Programme trains tomorrow's healthcare leaders through a suite of training and education options ranging from undergraduate through to doctorate level degrees.

The talk will be followed by a questions and answers session for the panel, and this will be followed by an opportunity for everyone to network over drinks and canapés. The Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Sir Steve Smith will be attending this event and you will have the opportunity to hear the latest news from the University of Exeter.
