Event details

The talk will explore the theme of “Water in Asia: Threats and opportunities for Health and Wellbeing”. This event offers two fascinating presentations from world-leading academics on the topic of water. The first presentation will be “Water and World Security: A Need for Innovation and Collaboration in an Interconnected World." Professor Dragan Savic will talk about the Water-Food-Energy Nexus and will discuss implications for national security aided by case studies from around the world. In a second presentation, “Environment, Human Health and Water," Professor Mike Depledge will look at how environmental change impacts the health and wellbeing of humans, specifically examining “The Blue Gym”; how blue spaces can be used to promote health.

The talk will be followed by a questions and answers session for the panel, and this will be followed by an opportunity for everyone to network over drinks and canapés. The Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Sir Steve Smith will be attending this event and you will have the opportunity to hear the latest news from the University of Exeter.
