Speed Networking with the Gilbert Stephens Young Professionals Network

SSIS is delighted to have teamed up with Gilbert Stephens Young Professionals Network for an evening of speed networking

Networking skills are some of the hardest to learn - you have to practice and develop your own style. That is why the College Employability Officer is presenting SSIS students with the opportunity to network with a group of local professionals in a safe and relaxed environment.

Event details

At this event, first year students who have already participated in eXfactor will be able to put in to practise some of the skills you have learnt on the course and there will be a light-hearted exercise for you to complete. Everyone who attends will have the chance to start building their own networks and find out more about building a successful career outside of London.

Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

We have four guest speakers who will be giving short talks on who they are and their career paths.  They are:

Kim McDonald, Litigation lawyer from Gilbert Stephens Solicitors
Caroline Burkie, Fundraiser for the West of England School for Children with Little or No Sight
John Read, Commercial Property agent from Jones Lang Lasalle
Simon Lane, Barrister, Rougemont Chambers
