Alzheimer's Research UK South West Network Centre Public Open Day

The Alzheimer's Research UK South West Network Centre will be hosting their annual public open day on 6th July 2016 at the University of Exeter, Streatham Campus.


Event details

Please come along to meet dementia researchers from the University of Exeter and Plymouth University and to hear them talk about their work.

There are limited spaces available, and only registered participants will be able to attend the event. Tea and coffee and lunch will be provided.

At the end of the day there will be the chance to ask questions to the scientists in a question and answer session. If you would like to ask a question in this session please email your question to us under the subject title "ARUK Q and A" to arukswnetwork@gmail.com

The meeting will be held at the IAIS building at the University of Exeter. This is building number 16 on the campus map and is on Stocker Road. 11:00-11:30 Genetic Research in Dementia in the South West (Dr Katie Lunnon, University of Exeter)

11:30-12:00 Research Models for Dementia in the South West (Dr Jon Brown, University of Exeter)

12:00-13:30 Lunch and a chance to talk to the scientists informally

13:30-14:00 Patient samples for Dementia Research in the South West (Dr Bob Fern, Plymouth University)

14:00-14:30 Clinical research in Dementia in the South West (Dr Joseph Butchart, RD&E Hospital)

14:30-15:00 Coffee and Tea break

15:00-15:45 Question and Answer session with the scientists

15:45 - End of day
