Event overview

The primary aim of Environmental Intelligence (EI) is to provide a step-change in our ability to understand and respond to the complex interactions between the environment, climate, natural ecosystems, human social and economic systems, and health through the integration of data and information from multiple inter-related sources. This will in turn provide tools that will enable informed decision-making and support behaviour change by empowering individuals, organisations and businesses through the provision of personalized information.

Environmental Intelligence is an emerging research area of strategic global importance.

The first Summit on Environmental Intelligence will bring together stakeholders and leading researchers at an interactive and stimulating meeting in Exeter in order to:

Facilitate co-development of agreed priorities for EI research and identify opportunities for major impact

Inform the development of a ‘green paper’ to highlight the opportunities and challenges in Environmental Intelligence with funders and national and international policy makers.

Programme

The Summit will start at 10.00 and close by 17.30, concluding with a social event, including drinks reception and BBQ for all attendees from 17.30 – 19.30.
