The South West Alumnae Group is back as Exe-X South West!

An Alumni and supporters event
Date7 April 2020
Time18:00 to 20:00
PlaceHotel du Vin, Magdalen St, Exeter EX2 4HY

We regret to inform you that this event has been postponed due to the outbreak and rapid spread of the coronavirus.

Our paramount concern is always for the health and safety of those attending the University’s events.

Please revisit the alumni events webpage for updates and we will inform you as soon as this event is rescheduled.

We are delighted to say the Exeter University South West Alumnae Group (female graduates) is back – renamed Exe-X South West and with a programme of regular networking meetups and events for 2020.

To celebrate we have invited Devon-based Oxford historian Rachel Trethewey for a talk and discussion about her latest book ‘Before Wallis: Edward VIII’s Other Women’. Could an earlier love have provided the emotional stability Edward craved? What was his involvement with Africa’s notorious Happy Valley set? And, with current royal difficulties in mind what, if anything, has changed? Our post-talk discussion will explore some of these issues.

This event is FREE but seating is limited. For more information, or to reserve your free place, please email Hilary Thomson hilary.thomson@btinternet.com

Parking is free from 6pm in the Magdalen Street car park just round the corner.

Some of us will also be at …

Northcott Theatre Tues 10th March 7.30pm: My Mother Said I Never Should, including post-show talk.

Northcott Theatre Wed 29th April 7.30pm: Wilderland Film Festival. Introduced by Wilderland founders.

For both productions please book direct with the Northcott and, if you would like to meet up with any other Exe-X alumnae on the evening, email Hilary Thomson hilary.thomson@btinternet.com
