Opportunities for Collaboration in Data-Driven Engineering

The workshop will feature short research talks from engineers and data scientists, and interactive discussion sessions to enable participants to explore areas/research questions of mutual interest.

It is expected that the workshop will result in new research collaborations and will lay the foundations for future proposals for funding (e.g. to UKRI) and connections with the Alan Turing Institute.

Seed-corn funding for pilot research projects will be available through the IDSAI in Autumn 2020.

Aims of the workshop

• To better understand our collective research strengths in data-driven engineering, and data science/AI methods that could be of relevance to challenges in engineering research.
• To enable researchers to make new links across departments and identify new research partnerships.
• To identify areas of synergy/mutual interest or need around which researchers from different disciplines might work together to bid for future research funding
