Speaker: Professor Hilary Nesi (Coventry University) - Title: An evaluation of the British Academic Written English (BAWE) corpus
This paper will evaluate the corpus in terms of what it can and cannot tell us about 21st century student writing, with reference to both the existing body of research and prospects for future corpus investigation. It will also consider what researchers working on any future projects of this kind might learn from our experience of designing and creating the BAWE corpus.
