Centre for Research in Language and Literacy - Summer Reading Group - Literacies and Digital Contexts

You are warmly invited to the Literacies in Digital Contexts summer term reading group (part of the Centre for Research in Language and literacy).

You are welcome to attend any or all of the meetings – it’s absolutely fine to dip in and out if you can’t make all of them!

This group is for anyone with an interest in digital communication and what it means to be ‘literate’ in digital contexts, no matter what your background or confidence is with the subject.

Reading for this session:

Please read Chapter 2 and 3 from Undoing the Digital  by Cathy Burnett and Guy Merchant (2020). Having explored what might be meant by 'The Digital' in week 1, we will think about what sociomaterialist perspectives can offer literacy research.
