Research and Creative Industries Workshop

A workshop for creative practitioners to learn more about how they can work with universities and academic researchers to support and develop their creative practice.

Event details

Creative practice across the visual arts, crafts, performance and design fields invariably involves research. But as a creative practitioner do you know how to approach or work with researchers and academics from non-arts based specialisms?

This workshop will introduce participates to relevant activities and opportunities within the ESI and the University of Exeter, and allow them to meet academic researchers and creative practitioners who work within academic contexts. It will explain how to engage with academics and researchers, and look at a range of models for collaborative working. It will also provide information and guidance on what funding routes are available to facilitate collaborative research activities.

The workshop will be jointly run with Creative Skills; the cost for the day is £20, if you would like to attend please email karen@creativeskills.org.uk to register.
