Women on Boards – the How and the Why will provide a valuable opportunity to learn more about the role of the Non-Executive Director and the career benefits of becoming one. It will also explore how to secure a Non-Executive Director position.

Our experienced panel of speakers will include Sarah Turvill (Law 1975), Non-Executive Director at Willis, Rowena Ironside, Chair, Women on Boards UK, Liz Butler (Maths 1982), Chairman, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, and Maria Harding (LLM International Business 1997 and MBA 2007), Commercial Director, Touch of Hart. More detailed profiles of the speakers can be found on the attachment at the bottom of this page.

The panel members have all held Non-Executive Directorships during their careers and have plenty of experiences to share. Their reasons for becoming Non-Executive Directors range from getting back into the workplace following maternity leave, to seeking a fulfilling role alongside a successful career in business. There will be plenty of opportunities to pose questions to the panel during the event.

After the panel discussion there will be an opportunity to network with fellow alumnae and alumni.

A copy of the guest list is available below.
