A presentation from Professor Dominic Hodgson, Leader of the Quaternary Sediments group in the "Chemistry and Past Climate" programme at the British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge.
The presentation is aimed at those interested in funding and fieldwork opportunities and is intended to:
- Raise awareness of opportunities for UK scientists to conduct research in Antarctica or the Arctic, supported by NERC funding.
- Highlight facilities and logistic support that BAS can offer for fieldwork-based (including ship-based) research in the polar regions
- Explain the process for obtaining access to BAS operational and logistics support
The presentation will be followed by a Q & A discussion and light buffet lunch.
