Bats and small to medium sized wind turbines: Translating research into practical strategies

A workshop for stakeholders, industry and researchers

Event details

Information

This one day workshop will present initial findings from recent research, identify barriers to potential mitigation strategies, and draft options for pre-and post-construction monitoring.

This event is aimed at statutory authorities, conservation trusts, local government, consultants, industry and wind turbine manufacturers. The session will provide updates on the latest research on the potential conflict between wind turbines and bats.  You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of guidance on mitigation and monitoring which is both evidence-based and feasible. Attendees will be offered the opportunity to improve strategic planning for turbines in the landscape.
