Who should attend?

All staff with an interest in Centre proposals internally shortlisted for the Leverhulme Research Centre scheme.

Leverhulme Research Centres  will be funded for up to £10 million over 10 years conducting innovative research of the highest intellectual and academic ambition. Institutions may only lead one Centre application.

What is the Pitch to Peers event?

The event will be hosted by the Leverhulme Strategy Group and will be open to the wider academic community.

The following Research Centre proposal teams will present:

  • ​Leverhulme Centre for Integrative Study of Self Control - Professor Frederick Verbruggen, College of Life and Environmental Sciences
  • Leverhulme Research Centre for Life-Sustaining Planes: From Earth to Exoplanets​ - Professor Isabelle Baraffe, College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences

The purpose of this event is to:

  • Allow the Leverhulme Strategy Group select the Institutional nomination for this scheme.
  • Enable potential collaborations to be fostered beyond the central team
  • Make the wider community aware of burgeoning research activity
  • Ensure that the process is transparent.
