 About Ruth:

I studied Politics and Philosophy at Warwick before moving to New Zealand. I then spent three years working as a policy analyst at a think tank looking at areas ranging from education policy to welfare and tax. I then took over managing the communications for the organisation, which I did for two years. I moved back to the UK two and a half years ago. I worked for a short time at a trade association looking at issues from the state of the UK’s software sector to issues around the smart metering/smart grids project being rolled out by the government and industry. For the last 18 months I have been the Communications Director at the Institute of Economic Affairs, I am responsible for our media work, political engagement and e-comms.
