EUC Trip to Northern Spain and the Picos Mountains

Exeter University Club are going on a tour of Northern Spain and the Picos Mountains. Join them for an Exeter reunion in Europe.


Event details

Exeter University Club will be flying together to Bilbao, followed by a transfer to the 4* Olimpo Hotel at Playa de Isla, for a six night stay on half board basis.

The trip will include a number of excursion to Santillana del Mar, one of the prettiest towns in Spain which is established around a monastery, the Altamira Cave, famous for its Upper Palaeolithic cave paintings, Cabárceno Natural Park, the largest park of its kind in Europe, Castro Urdiales, a fishing town with Santa Maria Church, the Picos de Europa mountains, christened the ‘Peaks of Europe’, Santander, Cantabria’s capital, and Bilbao.

There is also an opportunity of taking the 900 metre ascent up the Fuente Dé Cable Car (subject to favourable weather conditions), where you are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views across the Picos’ peaks and valleys.
