She teaches modern and contemporary English and American literature and is the author of several books and articles including Anne Sexton's Confessional Poetics, The Cambridge Introduction to Sylvia Plath and The Poetics of the American Suburbs. Her inaugural lecture will draw on research for her next book, Modern American Poetry and the Architectural Imagination, which she is completing with the support of a Leverhulme Trust Fellowship.
