Event details
Information:
The Impact and Engaged Research Network aims to bring together people interested in impact and engaged research to share best practice and information, to receive training and provide opportunities for networking. Network events are short (one hour) sessions, usually at lunchtimes, organised against a number of themes. One of these is ‘skills for engagement’, which allows participants to receive training in skills sharing sessions run by a range of ‘experts’, with best practice contributions and roundtable discussion, as well as the chance to reflect on our own practice.
Who should attend?
This Network event is open to all academic (including PGR) and Professional Services staff (research managers, administrators, project officers, events managers, etc.) who are interested in impact capture and evidence.
Workshop aims:
During the workshop we will explore:
- what impact looks like;
- how you can demonstrate impact;
- what constitutes good evidence;
- the best way of capturing impact evidence.
What is the event about?
Professor Catherine Leyshon (Geography) and Dr Martin Stevens (Biosciences) will lead the session, sharing their experiences of creating impact and collecting and recording evidence, before we break into smaller groups to discuss the challenges of evidence capture and possible solutions.
This is a similar event to the session that took place on the Streatham Campus on 15 December 2015.
Registration
To register please email research-events@exeter.ac.uk.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide refreshments for this workshop but attendees are welcome to bring their own.
