Lost Voice Guy

Performance and Conversation

A comic performance by Lee Ridley (Lost Voice Guy) will take place at the Exeter Barnfield theatre, an accessible location in Exeter city centre. Lee has cerebral palsy and uses a small machine called a Lightwriter when he performs. Lee won the BBC New Comdey Award in 2014. His comedy addresses issues surrounding disability and accessibility. Lee’s performance will be followed by a question and answer session with Dr Mike Mantin, Swansea University (whose work addresses disability in a historical context) which we hope will provoke an engaging discussion about the relationship between comedy, history, and disability. The performance is open to all, however, there may be some strong language within the perfomance. Tickets are free but space is limited. For tickets call 01392 271808 or visit the Barnfield Theatre, Barnfield Road, Exeter, EX1 1SN.
