Air power has become integral to the warfighting capability of the British armed forces. According to the UK’s Air and Space Doctrine, air power not only harbours significant strategic potential in its own right, but acts as a ‘force multiplier by enabling and enhancing other military and non-military effects’.

Event details
Although the use of air power has always been subject to legal constraints, recent developments in the field of international human rights law now threaten to undermine the strategic potential and purpose of British air power.
These seminars are open to staff, researchers, postgraduate students and the university’s stakeholders.
The aims of the seminar series are to stimulate intellectual discussion, provoke thoughts, engage in the debate of current issues, and disseminate research findings.
