Computational Biology Symposium

A Researcher-Led Initiative

Event details

Who should attend?

The event aims to bring together researchers from the University of Exeter that use, or have an interest in, computational techniques applied across the biosciences and biomedicine.

Event information

There is an upcoming Computational Biology Symposium that will be held on Monday 19th June 2017 at the Living Systems Institute. This event is a continuation of the Network Biology Symposium that was established last year.

The event aims to bring together researchers from the University of Exeter that use, or have an interest in, computational techniques applied across the biosciences and biomedicine. The day long event will consist of a series of talks by research staff and students. It will provide an excellent opportunity to present work, get an overview of computational biology across the university and meet other researchers with similar interests. The symposium is specifically aimed at PhD students and post-doctoral/early career researchers but is open to all. The event is free and refreshments and lunch will be provided.

This year we will be joined by Dr Antonio Marco from the University of Essex. Dr Marco is a computational biologist and has an interest in evolutionary genomics with a strong focus on gene regulatory mechanisms. He will be presenting his current work at the Computational Biology Symposium.

Registration

There are ~60 places available and these will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. To register and submit an abstract for a talk please go to:
