Submissions are now open for CLESCon 2017, a celebration of all research within the College of Life and Environmental Sciences.

Event details

What is CLESCon 2017?

The convention will be a one-day event especially aimed at giving postgraduate researchers an opportunity to present their research and develop networks within CLES. As the first event of its kind with the college, this event aims to showcase the huge diversity of issues being studied and methods/technologies being developed across our different departments and allow our postgraduate community to come together to develop their presentation, communication and spark new ideas and collaborations across the college.

The event will take place in the newly opened Living Systems Institute (LSI) and will enable members of all CLES departments to come together to learn about the first class research taking place across the college.

There will be prizes, lunch, and even drinks afterwards! Everyone is welcome, from PGRs to Professors!

When is it?

CLESCon 2017 will take place on Thursday 22 June 2017 and will run from 09:30 - 17:00 with lunch and refreshments provided. It will be followed by a drinks reception organised by the Biosciences End of the Month drinks team in the LSI Ideas Forum.

Themes

The day will be organised into the following four themes:

Changing environments: earth processes, ecology and biodiversity
    Frontiers in health and disease
    Social networks, communities and interactions
