Who should attend?

This event is open to University of Exeter staff and students, and is especially relevant to anyone with an interest in data science and data quality.

Event information

Researchers and staff interested in the UK Statistics Authority (UKSA) and data quality are welcome to attend this open session with Ed Humpherson, Director General for Regulation at UKSA.

The UKSA is an independent statutory body operating at arm’s length from government as a non-ministerial department, reporting directly to UK parliaments and assemblies.

During this session attendees will hear from Ed about the importance of data quality, as well as potential ways for the research community to engage with the UKSA.

The following colleagues will also give a brief overview of research involving data science at the University of Exeter:

  • Professor Richard Everson, Computer Science
  • Professor Susan Banducci, Q-Step

There will be a networking session with tea and coffee at 10.30 before the presentation at 11.00.
