Event details
Spain has a rich and distinctive feminist history hidden - but not destroyed - by Franco's dictatorship (1935-75).
This lecture examines how Spanish feminists escaped patriarchal control discreetly, unofficially, behind closed doors, while keeping the sanctity of state values inviolate and apparently unthreatended.
