Information
This is an open call to join Professor Tim Lenton and guest Ben Henneke (President of Clean Air Action Corporation, and founder of TIST) for a session on reforestation, agricultural regeneration, and carbon trading.
TIST is an agricultural, tree-planting, sustainable development and carbon credit program developed in collaboration with subsistence farmers in 1999. It has now grown to more than 75,000 farmers and over 16 million trees in Kenya, Uganda, India, and Tanzania.
Tim will introduce the session, and guest Ben Henneke will speak on his efforts to help farmers improve their livelihoods and food security by planting trees on degraded lands.
Presentations
Ben’s presentation will be followed four, five minute presentations by University of Exeter academics with complementary research activities. These slots are all currently open. If you would like to present as part of this conversation then please contact Tom James.
The session will finish with opportunities for questions and answers.
