Who should attend?

Researchers with an interest in developing interdisciplinary projects at the interface between quantitative disciplines and biology, bio-medicine or clinical research are invited to discuss their ideas for short projects to start in February 2019.

This funding is provided by Quantitative Biology and Medicine @ Exeter (QBME), which includes the Centre for Biomedical Modelling and Analysis and EPSRC Centre for Predictive Modelling in Healthcare.

The Centres will provide time from a Research Fellow or Secondee for 6 months, and up to £10k to cover consumables.

What is the event about?

At this event attendees will:

  • Receive an overview of the format and structure of the seed corn projects
  • Meet with relevant Fellows and Centre members to discuss ideas for their projects
  • Understand the purpose of the incubator event, which kick-starts the projects
  • Receive advice on submitting applications ready for the submission date of 22 October 2018
  • Hear about how we support secondment positions using this seed corn process

For information on previously funded projects, please see the QBME webpage.
