Hiding in the Pub to Cutting the Cord? Fatherhood and Childbirth in Britain, from the 1950s to the present

Laura’s public engagement project examined the causes of the shift in men's participation in childbirth from the 1950s, when any involvement in this event was thought 'unmanly', to the present day, where men are frequently considered to be uninterested husbands and fathers - and even 'unmanly' - if they fail to participate actively in pregnancy and birth.

Art maps

Art Maps is an RCUK funded collaborative research project comprising staff from University of Exeter, Nottingham and Tate. Art Maps is a tool that allows for the crowdsourcing and annotation of Tate's entire collection in relation to place, space and environment. It is currently on show at Tate Britain.

Screen Talks - Sickness on the Screen
