Born to be Wild: Life in the Infection Zone.
Prof Jan Bradley, University of Nottingham
Life in the wild means being constantly being bombarded by infectious organisms both pathogenic and others that could be termed friends that form the microbial communities with which all organisms coexist. Animals cope with microbial challenge that results in a spectrum of outcomes that vary from tolerance to death. This is largely dependent on the type and strength of the immune response generated. This seminar will explore factors that affect immune variability in wild Rodent populations.
