Disability Resource Centre, Exeter campuses

The University is committed to supporting disabled students, staff and visitors on all its campuses. The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) is located on the ground floor of the Old Library building on the Prince of Wales Road on the Streatham Campus. We also have a presence at St Luke's Campus during the week. Please contact the DRC on the Streatham Campus to arrange an appointment at St Luke's.

The Disability Resource Centre offers individual support for students with specific learning, physical or mental health difficulties. We can help with screening for dyslexia and dyspraxia, and diagnostic and support needs assessments. We also offer support in applying for the Disabled Students’ Allowance. You may have already let us know about a disability through contacting us, or on your application form or by registering with us.  However, in order to ensure that you receive the support you need it is vital that you visit the DRC and register with us to put this in place.

Accessibility Service, Cornwall campus

The Accessibility Service offers individual support for students with specific learning, physical or mental health difficulties.  We can help with diagnostic and support assessments as well as ensuring that reasonable adjustments are made to support your learning and exam arrangements.

If you require support on grounds of disability during your studies, it is important that you apply for the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) before commencing your degree.  This is in order to prevent delays in accessing your individual support or equipment.  The Accessibility Service offers support in applying for DSA.  If you feel that you may have support needs, do make contact as soon as possible. 

If you have mobility difficulties, please make contact with the Accessibility Service as soon as possible so that the accessible routes across campus can be pointed out to you.  Depending on your course, you may need your student card to be activated to allow access to certain routes.
