IT Help Desk
The IT Help Desk is a professional front line service which is the first point of contact for supported computer hardware, software, IT account or other IT related issues; including telephony, audio visual and printing queries. IT support can be found at both Cornwall and Exeter campuses. Support is operated through a day service and an Out of Hours Service, ensuring 24/7 cover for all IT queries.

IT Help Desk – 24/7 Help and Support
If you are based on the Streatham Campus, walk-in support is available between 10:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays and university closure days) from the IT Help Desk counter which is in the Main Library, Stocker Road. If you are based at the St. Luke's Campus, support is available from the Haighton Cluster. Additionally, phone and email support are available 24/7 via our out of hours service.
We also run a Laptop Clinic service to help solve faults on your personal computer. We are happy to take a look at any desktops, laptops, Macs, tablets (including iPads) and smartphones. Some of the examples of faults that we are able to assist students with include:
- ResNet network connections.
- Anti-Virus advice & removal.
- Spyware checking & removal.
- Advice on software removal & (re)installation.
- General operating system errors.
- Hardware fault diagnosis.
Please note that the support provided in laptop clinics is on a best endeavours basis - we do our best to help, but the extent to which we can help varies from device to device. We cannot promise to resolve all issues for all devices. Please also note that whilst we can help diagnose hardware faults we cannot fix them.
