Wireless network

There’s a growing network of wireless access points around the University campuses. See the wireless network page for maps and details of how to connect. The University is currently undergoing The Network Upgrade Project which will deliver a new high speed wireless network, eventually offering complete coverage of all academic buildings, communal areas in halls of residence and popular outside areas. 

ResNet

ResNet is an Internet connection that’s faster than most commercial broadband services. The ResNet service connects you to the main University computer network, allowing you to access your personal files, your University email and the normal range of services you would expect to find available from most commercial broadband services and in addition, Freewire TV and VoIP telephony services. It’s available in almost every University-owned student bedroom.

Academic Services are also arranging the services of some ResNet Assistants who will be able to help you get set up during Freshers' Week.

Cornwall campus

Wireless network

There’s a growing network of wireless access points around the Cornwall Campus. A location list and details of how to connect are on the Campus Intranet or, please contact the Service Desk for further information.

Internet connections in student rooms

All student bedrooms on the Cornwall Campus have an internet and phone connection.
