The Postgraduate Forum

The Postgraduate Forum represents postgraduate students within the Students’ Guild. Run by postgraduate students, the PG Forum is dedicated to helping postgraduate students get the most out of their time at Exeter. The PG Forum exists to assist students with welfare and academic issues, act as a bridge between students and the Guild and also to represent their opinions and concerns to the University.

As well as representing both taught and research postgraduates at Guild meetings, the PG Forum gathers and examines student opinion to measure satisfaction across a broad range of Guild and University provision, with the aim of continual improvement to the lives of postgraduate students at Exeter.

Every postgraduate student at Exeter whether taking a one-year Masters course or researching for a doctorate is a full member of the Postgraduate Forum and entitled to be involved.

There are posts open for election in the first two weeks of term – the Guild site has more details on those posts and how to apply. For those of you with less time to give who would like to be involved or have your opinion taken into account, there are also volunteer opportunities for all postgraduate students – again, see the Guild website for details or pop into the Research & Representation office in Devonshire House for more information.

The Postgraduate Society

The Postgraduate Society exists to give postgraduate students a social-base which is distinct from and in addition to, the other student societies that exist at Exeter.

We are here to arrange social events and meet-ups between postgraduate students and make sure that postgraduates can get as much from their student experience at Exeter as any other group of students.

Since the Committee is usually made up of postgraduate taught students, all of the committee posts are open for election in the first two weeks of term – the Guild site has more details on those posts and how to get involved in the Postgraduate Society by signing up.
