The Exeter Award is a unique scheme available to postgraduate taught students aimed at boosting your CV and demonstrating your skills to employers

Our Careers Service and Career Zone

Postgraduate study is about giving you the edge in the careers market, and at the University of Exeter we go beyond providing excellent academic postgraduate programmes to make sure you have the skills to get you your dream job.

In addition to Employability Officers in Colleges on the Streatham Campus, our Information Teams (based at the Career Zone on the Streatham Campus and at the Careers Advisory Service, Cornwall Campus) can help guide you through a wealth of information to match your skills and interests to a career that will suit you. Our Employment Services Team work with regional, national and international employers to develop new work placement, project and graduate opportunities.

All students can sign up to My Career Zone, our online system which enables you to find graduate-level jobs, look for part-time and casual work, book appointments with the Careers Service, view upcoming careers drop-in sessions and  book onto employability events.

We employ postgraduate students to help us run a training course in interview techniques called the Interview Experience. This will provide you with really useful training in how to support others and how to provide constructive feedback, as well as a chance to gain useful tips on how to be interviewed.
