Records Management Services
The Records Management Service provides advice and support to all areas of the University in their record keeping. In particular the service will:
- Advise on the retention and destruction of records
- Support the identification vital records
- Advise on the storage of paper and electronic records
- Work with the Archive Curator to facilitate the transfer of records for permanent preservation
- Provide Records Management advice relating to the introduction of new systems
- Manage the Modern Records Centre
- Advise on compliance with the Data Protection Act
- Manage the University’s response Freedom of Information requests
- Provide relevant training
