Overview
My PhD looks at what may indirectly select for virulence and antimicrobial resistance in microbial communities. I use the insect infection model Galleria mellonella to test for virulence. My research also looks at how factors, such as disturbance and community biodiversity, may influence the susceptibility of a community to invasion, particularly by pathogens.
