Dr Orkun Soyer
Orkun is a Lecturer in Systems Biology at the University of Exeter. He holds a BSc and PhD in Chemistry and has significant experience in protein biochemistry, theoretical biology and systems biology. As a result, his knowledge and skills covers concepts in mathematics, engineering and biology. Orkun has used this position to build a cross-disciplinary research portfolio, where he extensively collaborates with experimental and computational biologists, mathematicians, computer scientists and engineers.
Orkun has a significant track record in the analysis and study of biological systems from a theoretical perspective. In particular, Orkun employs computational and evolutionary approaches to study how signalling networks function and what relations exist between their topological and dynamical features.
