Dr Steve Porter

Steven is a Lecturer in Biology at the University of Exeter. Steven’s research focuses on two-component signal transduction in bacteria. Steven examined the signalling networks of Rhodobacter sphaeroides and Myxococcus xanthus during his PhD and postdoctoral studies at the University of Oxford. A major strand in Steven’s current research is the application of systems biology to two-component signalling networks, with the aim of developing spatiotemporal mathematical models that describe bacterial behaviour.
