Dr Anna Murray.
Dr Anna Murray
Anna Murray is a senior lecturer at the University of Exeter Medical School. She has worked at the Medical School since 2005 and is part of the Genetics of Complex Traits research group based at St Luke's.
Anna has a background in laboratory based molecular biology research from her PhD and postdoc positions at the University of Southampton. Anna’s current research interests are focused on the genetics of female reproductive traits.
Anna has been involved with projects that include: genome wide expression arrays, genome wide SNP arrays, whole genome sequence analysis and mutation analysis. She can therefore provide help with interpretation of data from a variety of genomics studies.
She has also been involved in using bioinformatic resources to predict the effects of genetic variations on protein and RNA structure and function and can assist with navigation of the publically available resources for this. Anna can also assist with looking at linkage disequilibrium between markers in the genome and investigating common pathways between genes/proteins associated with disease.
Anna has completed the Tim Albert Train the Trainers course to teach scientific writing, so can advise on preparation of manuscripts for publication.
