Where is the Conference taking place?

The Conference is taking place at the Streatham Campus, University of Exeter, UK. View our location maps >>

The full address is: The University of Exeter, The Queen's Drive, Exeter, Devon EX4 4QJ.

The Conference building is the Peter Chalk Centre, and on-campus accommodation is located in Holland Hall.

Shuttle minibuses will be operating to and from St David's Station and the Streatham Campus on the Monday morning and again on Wednesday afternoon/evening.

 

What accommodation is available?

On campus accommodation is located in Holland Hall and can be booked when you register to attend the Conference. All rooms are double en-suite and breakfast is provided. Further details >>

Check in for the Conference will be on Monday morning - time to be confirmed. All bags need to be checked out of the accommodation on Wednesday - time to be confirmed. A secure room will be provided to store luggage during the Wednesday if necessary.

Off campus accommodation is also available and can be booked separately when you register.

 

What IT facilities will be available during the Conference?

Internet access will not be available in the Conference buildings.

Delegates must bring their own laptops and extension leads. Plug-in internet access is available in the on-campus accommodation.

Mac users, please note that the University does not support Mac technology. If you bring a Mac laptop onto campus you must also bring an adaptor lead. These are not available to borrow or buy on campus.

Can I register to attend part of the conference and is there a reduction in cost?

We are offering a day rate for the Conference at £125 (including handling charge) for professional attendance and £75 (including handling charge) for postgraduate attendance. Accommodation and attendance at the Gala Dinner will be extra.

 

I am presenting a talk during the Conference

You will have submitted an abstract and been invited to present a talk. Presentations will be 15 minutes long with a 5 minute Q&A session. You will be asked to send a copy of your presentation electronically 1 week before the conference, and please bring a back-up copy with you.

I am presenting a poster at the Conference

You will have submitted an abstract and been invited to present a poster. You will be able to put your poster up from Monday afternoon, and will be allocated a board. You are asked to put the poster up yourself, however there will be someone on hand to assist you.

Each delegate presenting a poster is given a whole board (1.83m x 1.22m) landscape. This will display 1 x A0 poster (landscape) or 2 x A1 posters (portrait).
