For more than a decade scientists from the Met Office Hadley Centre have been world-leading in climate change prediction and research, and in using this research to advise Government.

We are now seeing many of the predicted climate changes occurring in the real world, and as a result the Met Office is increasingly working in the areas of adaptation and mitigation rather than just prediction.
