The Peninsula Ageing Research Collaboration, or PARC, aims to expand research into ways of improving the health and wellbeing of older people.

At the University of Exeter we view population ageing as one of the grand societal challenges that we must tackle effectively if our research is to have impact. We are committed to stimulating and facilitating multidisciplinary research on all aspects of ageing, including prominent later-life health issues such as heart disease, strokes, dementia, and type 2 diabetes.

PARC brings together researchers from across the South West to exchange information on current and past work, identify skills and interests for future projects, and plan multidisciplinary programmes of research. We are connecting academic researchers with the people who will benefit most from and help to shape their research, including older people, voluntary organisations, and caring agencies.
