Please note: the venue for this session has been changed from Harrison 170 to Harrison 102.
There will be a one-day hot-topic workshop at the University of Exeter, Harrison Building, on 30 September. This workshop will explore common methods for analysing oscillatory dynamics in neural and genetic networks.
Confirmed speakers are:
- Jack Hudson (Virginia): Complexity in rhythmic populations of electrochemical oscillators
- Alexey Zaikin (UCL): Regaining symmetry in noisy genetic networks for cell fate decision
- Evgeniy Volkov (Russian Academy of Sciences): Dynamics of coupled synthetic genetic repressilators
- Krasimira Tsaneva-Atanasova (Bristol): Transient and sustained bursting oscillations in neuronal cells
- Mauricio Barahona (Imperial): Oscillations in genetic networks; transients and stochasticity
- Oleksandr Burylko (National Academy of Science of Ukraine): Heteroclinic cycles in coupled phase oscillator systems with asymmetric coupling functions
We have time for a small number of contributed talks, but no limit on posters. The preferred formats for posters are A1 (portrait or landscape) or A0 (portrait only). If you would like to contribute, please include an abstract with your registration.
Further information on how to register, the full event programme, instructions on how to get here, and details for those needing overnight accommodation can be found on the following pages:
We will announce a programme for the day closer to the date of the workshop. We intend to organise a meal at a local restaurant on the evening of the meeting.
This workshop will be partially supported by the Mathematical Neuroscience Network of the EPSRC. Participation is registration-free for members of these networks and includes lunch / (cream) tea and coffee; others will be charged a nominal registration fee.
